How to use Place Check

Place Check creates a surroundings report for any Austrian address from official open data: noise, natural hazards, climate and sun, terrain, zoning and legal matters, infrastructure, broadband, air quality, public transport, population, plus derived insights and a ready-to-use listing paragraph (EN/DE). Free and non-commercial.

On the web in 3 steps

Search and pick an address on the home page; optionally add property details (e.g. HWB, areas) and choose "anonymous".
"Create report": sign in or create an account (e-mail and password, or Google/Microsoft/GitHub). Your first report is free.
After 10 to 50 seconds the report is ready: map, sections with sources, insights and the listing paragraph. Share, print, or create an anonymous copy.

Connect from Claude

claude.ai or Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → URL https://www.place-check.com/api/mcp → Connect, sign in to Place Check and approve.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http place-check https://www.place-check.com/api/mcp, then /mcp → place-check → Authenticate.

Connect from ChatGPT

Settings → Apps (or Apps & Connectors) → Advanced → turn on Developer mode → Create app → name "Place Check", MCP server URL https://www.place-check.com/api/mcp, authentication OAuth → sign in to Place Check and approve. Once Place Check is listed in the app directory, "Connect" is enough.

With an API key

Create a key in the dashboard and send it as the header Authorization: Bearer lb_live_… (REST and MCP). Details in the API and MCP docs.

Credits

A report costs 1 credit, refunded if it fails entirely. Address search, fetching stored reports, anonymous copies and the balance are free. New accounts get 1 free credit; credits are a free quota with no monetary value. Coverage: Austria only.
